Ice Cream Social Scheduled in Observance of Breastfeeding Awareness Month

Bolivar Medical Center is excited to announce an upcoming Ice Cream Social event for new and expecting mothers in celebration of Breastfeeding Awareness Month. The event is in partnership with International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant, Brittany Isler, along with other community resources. The social will take place on Tuesday, August 20, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Bolivar Medical Center.

The Ice Cream Social aims to provide a fun and educational environment for mothers-to-be and new mothers to connect, learn, and celebrate the importance of breastfeeding. Highlights of the event include the opportunity to register for breastfeeding classes, prenatal consultation reservations, access to valuable educational materials, and a chance to win exciting door prizes.

Ann Franklin, Certified Lactation Counselor and Pharmacist at Bolivar Medical Center, shared her enthusiasm. "I'm thrilled to offer vital resources on the benefits of breastfeeding for both moms and babies. I can't wait to connect with our community at this exciting event."

Isler emphasized the significance of breastfeeding awareness: "Breastfeeding provides essential nutrients and antibodies that support a baby's health and development. Creating awareness can help empower and educate mothers about the benefits and techniques of breastfeeding."

Attendees can enjoy delicious ice cream while engaging with other mothers and healthcare professionals in a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.
