Bolivar Medical Center Welcomes Ann Nowell as Associate Administrator

Bolivar Medical Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Ann Nowell as the new Associate Administrator. Nowell brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the team, having worked in both hospital and physician practice environments for over 18 years.

Nowell holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Mississippi and a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Her professional journey includes an Administrative Residency at River Oaks Health System in Flowood, Miss. She has held several key roles, including Area Practice Manager, Assistant Administrator, and Chief Operating Officer at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center, Chief Operating Officer at Delta Health Center in Mound Bayou, Miss., and Administrator at The Woman’s Clinic in Clarksdale, Miss.

In her new role, Nowell will oversee multiple departments including Laboratory, Physician Practice Services, Radiology, Rehabilitation, and Respiratory. She will be responsible for developing strategic plans to optimize departmental operations, establishing performance standards, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Her duties also include budget preparation, policy development, staff evaluation, and promoting interdepartmental relationships. Additionally, Nowell will participate in strategic planning, performance improvement, and patient satisfaction initiatives, while maintaining effective communication with medical staff and other hospital departments.

Nowell expressed her enthusiasm for joining Bolivar Medical Center.
